The Garden

One court, three zones, lit from above

Pale herringbone pavers run from the house to a dark steel pavilion with a cedar ceiling, and strips of large concrete pavers set in turf lead the eye across. The fire table, the kitchen and the lounge all share that one floor, and swags of string lights tie them together as the sky goes blue. Out front, the same large-format concrete returns as a walkway to the door.

Chapter 1 · The Arrival

A concrete walk to the front door

Wide concrete pavers with fine joints step across the lawn to the entry, edged with ornamental grasses in mulch. A paver driveway runs alongside, so the front reads as one calm, level composition. Small path lights are tucked into the planting.

Chapter 2 · The Terrace

A herringbone floor with a fire table at its centre

Narrow pavers laid in a herringbone pattern make a calm, textured floor for the lounge. A white stucco fire table anchors the seating, and a strip of large pavers set in turf leads on toward the pavilion. From the air, the court, the stepping path and the raised planter read as one plan.

Chapter 3 · The Outdoor Kitchen

A kitchen under the cedar ceiling

A stucco-faced run holds a built-in grill, a pizza oven, drawers, a refrigerator and a wine fridge under a dark stone counter. Above it, a cedar ceiling carries recessed lights and a fan, held on slim dark steel posts. A low stacked-stone seat wall with a lit edge runs alongside, with a patterned metal screen behind.

Chapter 4 · After Dark

String lights, uplights and a glowing path

As the light drops, the string lights come up over the lounge and the pavilion ceiling glows warm. A lit stone seat wall and uplit screen panels give the kitchen edge a soft wash. Out front, lights set in the deck edge and along the walkway guide the way to the door.
