How it works

Our six step design process.

  1. 01Discovery CallAn on-site meeting with the design team to discuss the project and listen to your needs, requirements and budget.
  2. 02Proposal & DepositA design proposal for the project, with a deposit to secure the work.
  3. 03Base ModelThe team builds a base model of the house and existing exterior, then a video call to go over early concepts.
  4. 04Design MagicThe design itself. Every conversation we have had feeds into it.
  5. 05Design RevealA video call walking you through a 3D tour of the space, discussing revisions — some made live.
  6. 06Design FinalizationRevisions applied, then drawings and documents go to the construction team and the build begins.

Los Altos, CA

Nash Road

The neighbouring Los Altos property, terraced in stone rather than concrete. A pool with an integrated raised spa sits on the main level in a pale stone surround, with cantilever umbrellas over the dining settings and an outdoor kitchen island — grill, sink, worktop — built into the terrace edge. Stacked natural stone retaining walls step the garden up behind it, split by a broad stone staircase with lighting set into the risers, and a second run of board-formed steps carries the far side. The top terrace is left as open lawn. Planting is drought-tolerant and structural: kangaroo paw, grasses and boulders through mulched beds, all of it lit low.
