The Garden

One long garden room, from deck to fire table

The yard is laid out as a single sequence: a wood-look deck by the house, a wide paver court below it, and a curved bench with a fire table at the far end. Soft planting and careful lighting tie the pieces together, so the space works for a quiet evening or a full table of guests.

Chapter 1 · The Terraces

A deck that steps down onto the pavers

Wood-look decking with a black cable railing opens onto a wide paver court through a short run of steps. The two surfaces meet in clean lines, so the garden reads as one continuous room. A dining table sits at the far end of the pavers, a short walk from the house.

Chapter 2 · The Fire Feature

A bench that curves around the fire

A long, sculpted bench with a warm wood seat sweeps along the back of the court, with a linear fire table set just in front of it. The curve softens a rectangular yard and gives guests somewhere to gather. Planters on the fence line above add a layer of green.

Chapter 3 · The Planting

Japanese maple, sago and soft edges

A red-leafed Japanese maple, sago palms and ferns wrap the edges of the pavers and keep the hard surfaces from feeling stark. A curving paved path leads away from the deck into the planting. Seen from above, the green borders frame the whole terrace.

Chapter 4 · After Dark

Light built into the bench, steps and borders

After sunset the bench glows from underneath and the deck steps are edged in light, so the shape of the garden stays readable. The fire table becomes the focal point of the court. From above, a continuous line of light traces the paving and the planted edges.
