The Garden

A cabana, a kitchen and a fire table on one pale floor

The cabana is the anchor, with a timber-lined ceiling carried on dark steel struts. Around it, large-format paving with fine dark inset bands ties the kitchen, the dining table and a fire table lounge into a single backyard. Warm recessed light and uplit greenery take over at dusk.

Chapter 1 · The Cabana

Steel and timber overhead

Dark steel struts cross in a V to carry a timber-lined ceiling dotted with recessed lights. Beneath it sit a bar-height counter, a dining table on an outdoor rug and, behind glass doors, a lounge with a dark feature wall. The structure keeps the whole seating area shaded and lit.

Chapter 2 · The Outdoor Kitchen

A kitchen with room to gather

A U-shaped run of grey cabinetry holds a built-in grill, side burner, sink and glass-front refrigerators under pale veined counters. The counter wraps into a bar with seating, so guests can sit right at the edge of the action.

Chapter 3 · The Fire Feature

Firelight on the paving

A linear gas fire table sits at the center of a lounge corner beside the house, framed by a sofa and swivel chairs. From above, the large pale slabs and a pair of fine dark inset lines make a clean, rhythmic floor. At dusk the flame and warm window light are all the corner needs.

Chapter 4 · The Paving

One continuous floor

The same large-format slabs run from the house past the cabana and across the yard, with dark bands marking the edges of the seating zones. Small beds of succulents against the wall and a screen of uplit hedging soften the edges.
